Terms of Use & Disclaimers

Effective Date: June 2, 2026

These Terms of Use & Disclaimers (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GlassPockets mobile application and the website at https://glasspockets.app, together with any related content, features, and services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is published by LovelaceLoom (“LovelaceLoom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Please read these Terms carefully. They contain important disclaimers and limitations of liability, and they explain the limits of what the Service does and does not do.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” refers to both you and that organization.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract under the laws applicable to you in order to use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

GlassPockets is a free, informational, read-only directory that aggregates and displays publicly available information about Israeli nonprofit organizations (“amutot”). The Service is intended primarily to help English-speaking and U.S.-based users discover and learn about Israeli nonprofits.

The Service:

  • Lets you browse, search, filter, and view information about Israeli nonprofits compiled from public sources.
  • Lets you save nonprofits as “favorites,” which are stored only on your own device and are never uploaded to us.
  • May provide links out to a nonprofit’s own website or to other third-party resources.

The Service is an independent aggregator of public data. It is a directory and reference tool only.

The Service does not:

  • Require any account, login, sign-up, profile, or registration.
  • Collect, request, or store any personal information about you on our servers.
  • Solicit, collect, hold, transmit, process, or facilitate any donation or payment to any nonprofit, and is not a party to any donation you may choose to make. Where a “Donate” or organization link is shown, it simply opens the organization’s own official page; any transaction is solely between you and that organization or its own payment processor.
  • Offer in-app donations to nonprofits, in-app charitable fundraising, or charitable payment processing.
  • Provide tax, legal, financial, investment, accounting, or professional advice of any kind.

The Service does offer one optional in-app purchase: a voluntary “Support GlassPockets” tip to the studio that makes the app. This is not a charitable donation and is described in Section 7A below.

3. No Affiliation, Endorsement, or Sponsorship

GlassPockets and LovelaceLoom are independent and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to:

  • any nonprofit, charity, or organization listed in the Service;
  • GuideStar Israel or the Israeli Registrar of Associations (Rasham HaAmutot / רשם העמותות); or
  • the State of Israel or any government, governmental authority, agency, or body.

All organization names, marks, logos, and other identifiers belong to their respective owners and are used solely to identify and describe the listed organizations. Their appearance in the Service does not imply any partnership, affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship in either direction.

The inclusion of any organization in the Service is not a recommendation, endorsement, solicitation, or vouching for that organization by GlassPockets or LovelaceLoom.

4. Data Sources, Accuracy, and “AS IS” Information

The information displayed in the Service — including names, registration numbers, compliance indicators, financial figures, mission text, logos, and identifying images — is compiled from public and third-party sources, including the Registrar of Associations (Rasham HaAmutot / רשם העמותות), the open-government data portal data.gov.il, the Israeli Tax Authority Section 46 list, GuideStar Israel (the national nonprofit database), Wikidata / Wikimedia Commons, and organizations’ own official websites. Logos and images are shown solely to identify the organization described and are addressed in our Intellectual Property & Takedown Policy.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The information is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Public-source data may contain errors, omissions, outdated entries, translation differences, or inaccuracies, and may not reflect an organization’s current legal, financial, operational, or registration status.
  • We do not independently audit, investigate, monitor, or guarantee the conduct, legitimacy, financial health, governance, or use of funds of any listed organization.
  • Information in the Service may change at any time and may not be updated in real time.

You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it, and especially before making any donation. Always confirm an organization’s current status, details, and legitimacy directly with the organization and with the relevant official registries and your own qualified advisors.

5. The “Verified” Badge

Some listings may display a “Verified” badge. This badge indicates only that, at the time of compilation, the organization was cross-checked against Israeli nonprofit-registry data — for example, indicators such as proper-management approval (“nihul takin” / ניהול תקין), Section 46 (§46) status, and the filing of required multi-year reports.

The “Verified” badge is NOT:

  • an endorsement, recommendation, or approval of the organization by GlassPockets or LovelaceLoom;
  • a guarantee, representation, or assurance about how the organization manages, spends, allocates, or uses any funds or donations;
  • a guarantee of the organization’s current legal standing, financial condition, effectiveness, integrity, or trustworthiness; or
  • a substitute for your own due diligence.

The badge reflects an automated cross-reference of public records only and may itself be incomplete or out of date. Do not treat the “Verified” badge as a reason to skip your own independent verification.

6. Not Tax, Legal, or Financial Advice

The Service is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute tax, legal, financial, investment, accounting, or other professional advice, and must not be relied upon as such. No professional relationship is created by your use of the Service.

Before making any donation or financial decision, you should consult your own qualified, licensed professional advisors regarding your specific situation.

6.1 Israeli §46 Status Is NOT U.S. (IRS 501(c)(3)) Deductibility

This is important and is frequently misunderstood:

  • “§46” (Section 46) refers to tax-deductibility status under the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance, and it applies only within Israel, under Israeli law.
  • §46 status is NOT the same as U.S. tax-deductibility. It does not mean a donation is deductible for U.S. federal income tax purposes, and it is not equivalent to recognition as a tax-exempt charity under U.S. Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) rules, including Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
  • A nonprofit holding Israeli §46 status may or may not qualify for U.S. tax-deductible contributions. These are separate legal frameworks in separate jurisdictions.

If you are a U.S. donor (or are subject to the tax laws of any country other than Israel), you must independently verify whether a donation is tax-deductible under the laws applicable to you. Do not rely on §46 status, or on anything in the Service, to determine U.S. or non-Israeli tax-deductibility. Consult a qualified tax advisor in your own jurisdiction.

7. No Donations Through the Service

GlassPockets does not solicit, request, collect, hold, process, transmit, or facilitate donations or payments of any kind, and is not a party to any donation you may choose to make.

If you decide to donate to an organization, you do so entirely on third-party websites or platforms, outside the Service. Any such donation is a transaction solely between you and the recipient organization (and any third-party payment processor or platform involved). GlassPockets and LovelaceLoom are not responsible for, and have no involvement in, any such transaction, including its terms, security, fees, fulfillment, tax treatment, or outcome.

7A. Supporting GlassPockets (Optional In-App Tip)

GlassPockets is free. As a convenience, the app offers an optional, voluntary in-app purchase called “Support GlassPockets” — a one-time tip, or a monthly contribution, paid to LovelaceLoom, the for-profit studio that builds and maintains the app.

You should understand that a Support purchase:

  • is voluntary and is not required to use any part of the Service, and unlocks no features, content, or functionality;
  • is NOT a charitable donation, is NOT tax-deductible in any jurisdiction, and no portion of it goes to any nonprofit listed in the Service — it supports the makers of the app only;
  • is processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple’s terms and payment system (Apple receives its standard fee); we never receive your payment-card details;
  • if you choose the monthly option, it automatically renews until you cancel it through your Apple account settings; and
  • is subject to Apple’s refund policies — refunds, where available, are handled by Apple, not by us.

7B. A Future Paid “GlassPockets-Verified” Badge

We may, in the future, allow nonprofit organizations to register with us and pay a recurring or one-time fee to display a distinct “GlassPockets-Verified” badge confirming that the organization has verified itself directly with us.

If and when this is offered:

  • Any such paid badge will be clearly distinguished from the registry-based labels described in Section 5, and a fee will never change, influence, or be required for an organization’s registry-based labels (such as its §46, proper-management, or reporting status), its inclusion in the directory, or the factual information shown about it.
  • A paid badge will reflect only that the organization completed our self-verification process; it is not an endorsement, audit, certification, or guarantee, and GlassPockets is not a regulator, auditor, or certifier of any organization.
  • This Section describes a possible future feature only. It is not currently available, and these Terms will be updated before any such feature launches.

8. Third-Party Links and Resources

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, content, or resources, including the websites of listed organizations. These links are provided for convenience only.

We do not control, operate, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party website, content, product, service, or practice, including its accuracy, security, privacy practices, or handling of donations. Your access to and use of any third-party site is at your own risk and is governed by that third party’s own terms and policies, not ours. We encourage you to review them.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service — including the GlassPockets name and brand, the application software, the user interface and “Liquid Glass” design, layout, graphics, logos, text, and other original content created by us (collectively, the “GlassPockets Materials”) — is owned by LovelaceLoom or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws.

The underlying public nonprofit data displayed through the Service originates from its public sources (such as the Registrar of Associations and GuideStar Israel) and remains the property of, and subject to the rights of, those respective sources and the organizations described. GlassPockets claims no ownership over that underlying public data, and organization names, marks, and logos belong to their respective owners.

Organization logos and identifying images. Where shown, an organization’s logo or identifying image is displayed solely to identify that organization (nominative use), sourced from the organization’s own official website or from Wikidata / Wikimedia Commons, and is the property of its respective owner. We are not affiliated with, and claim no rights in, those marks. If you own rights in any logo or image shown in the Service and wish to have it credited differently or removed, please see our Intellectual Property & Takedown Policy — we honor prompt notice-and-takedown requests.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial, informational purposes. You may not, except as expressly permitted by applicable law:

  • copy, reproduce, scrape, harvest, mirror, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the GlassPockets Materials or any substantial portion of the Service;
  • modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the application; or
  • remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation, or the rights of any third party;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, disrupt, or damage the Service, its hosting infrastructure, or any associated systems or networks;
  • use automated means (such as bots, crawlers, or scrapers) to access, extract, or copy data from the Service except as expressly permitted in writing by us;
  • introduce any malware, virus, or other harmful code; or
  • misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, or use the Service to harass, defraud, or mislead others.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit, suspend, or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these Terms or misuses the Service.

11. No Warranty / Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT AND INFORMATION IN IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (a) THE INFORMATION IN THE SERVICE IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR RELIABLE; (b) ANY LISTED ORGANIZATION IS LEGITIMATE, TRUSTWORTHY, OR WILL USE FUNDS IN ANY PARTICULAR WAY; (c) ANY DONATION WILL BE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE IN ANY JURISDICTION; OR (d) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LOVELACELOOM, OR ITS REPRESENTATIVES OR LICENSORS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR DONATED FUNDS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION IN IT, OR ANY DONATION OR DECISION YOU MAKE — WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DONATION YOU MAKE TO ANY ORGANIZATION, FOR HOW ANY ORGANIZATION USES FUNDS, FOR THE CONDUCT OR LEGITIMACY OF ANY LISTED ORGANIZATION, OR FOR THE TAX TREATMENT OF ANY CONTRIBUTION.

BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless LovelaceLoom from and against any reasonable claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and you agree that the courts located in Israel will have jurisdiction over any such dispute. Nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

15. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above and post the updated Terms at https://glasspockets.app/terms. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LovelaceLoom regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, merger, or transfer of the Service.

GlassPockets is an independent directory by LovelaceLoom, built from public Israeli registry data. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any listed nonprofit, GuideStar Israel, the Registrar of Associations, or the State of Israel. Information is provided “as is” with no warranty of accuracy or completeness, and GlassPockets assumes no liability — users must verify independently before giving. GlassPockets never takes, holds, or processes donations — when you’re ready to give, we simply link out to the nonprofit’s own website, where any gift happens directly with them. “Verified” means checked against Israel’s registry, not an endorsement or a guarantee of how funds are spent. §46 refers to tax-deductibility under the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance, in Israel only; it is not the same as US (IRS 501(c)(3)) deductibility, and US donors should confirm US tax-deductibility independently.
