About GlassPockets

Our mission

GlassPockets helps English-speaking and US donors find and trust Israeli nonprofits. We gather roughly 7,500 registered organizations and cross-check each against Israel’s official records — so “is this charity legitimate?” is answerable in seconds.

Who we are

GlassPockets is published by LovelaceLoom. We are an independent directory — not a charity, not a fundraiser, and not a payment processor. We surface public registry information and link out to nonprofits’ own websites. We do not take, route, hold, or process any donations.

What GlassPockets is (and isn’t)

GlassPockets is:

  • A free, read-only, informational directory of Israeli nonprofits compiled from public sources.
  • A tool to search, filter, browse, and save organizations as on-device favorites.
  • A way to link out to a nonprofit’s own website to learn more.

GlassPockets is not:

  • A donation or fundraising platform. We never collect, process, or route funds. Any donation you choose to make happens entirely on a third-party website, outside the app.
  • An endorsement of any listed organization.
  • A source of tax, legal, or financial advice.

Where the data comes from

Listings are built from public Israeli nonprofit-registry data: the Registrar of Associations (Rasham HaAmutot / רשם העמותות) and GuideStar Israel, the national nonprofit database.

For each organization, we compile the public record and cross-check key registry indicators. The directory shows when it was last verified. Because the information comes from public sources, it may lag behind real-world changes or contain errors, omissions, or translation differences. Always confirm details directly with the organization and the relevant official registries before relying on them.

What “Verified” means (and doesn’t)

A Verified badge means we cross-checked the organization against Israel’s registry — for example, proper-management approval (“nihul takin”), §46 status, and the filing of recent multi-year reports.

The Verified badge is not:

  • an endorsement, recommendation, or approval by GlassPockets or LovelaceLoom;
  • a guarantee of how an organization spends or allocates funds; or
  • a substitute for your own due diligence.

§46 is Israeli tax-deductibility only. It refers to status under the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance, in Israel. It is not US (IRS 501(c)(3)) tax-deductibility. If you are a US donor, verify US tax-deductibility independently with a qualified tax advisor.

Independence and non-affiliation

GlassPockets is an independent aggregator by LovelaceLoom. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any listed nonprofit, GuideStar Israel, the Registrar of Associations, or the State of Israel or any government body. Organization names, marks, and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the organizations described.
