Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 2, 2026
Who we are
GlassPockets is a free, read-only directory of verified Israeli nonprofits (“amutot”), built for English-speaking and international donors who want to learn about and support charitable organizations in Israel. The app is published by LovelaceLoom (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how GlassPockets handles information when you use the app. It applies to the GlassPockets mobile application and to this website at https://glasspockets.app.
We designed GlassPockets to be private by default. The honest summary is below, and the rest of this page simply explains it in more detail.
The short version
We do not collect your personal data. Full stop.
- There are no accounts, no sign-up, no login, and no profiles.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, trackers, or any third-party tracking technologies.
- The only thing GlassPockets saves is your list of favorite nonprofits, and that list is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- The app makes one kind of network request: a read-only download of a public dataset of Israeli nonprofits. No personal information about you is ever sent.
If you stop here, you already know the most important thing: GlassPockets is a viewer for public charity information, and it is not in the business of collecting data about you.
Information we do NOT collect
To be completely clear, GlassPockets does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identifiers — no name, email, phone number, mailing address, or government ID.
- Account information — there are no user accounts, so there is nothing to register, log in to, or recover.
- Analytics or usage data — we do not measure how you use the app, what you tap, or how long you stay.
- Crash or diagnostic reports — we do not run any crash-reporting or diagnostics SDK.
- Advertising or tracking identifiers — no advertising, no ad networks, no IDFA, no AppTrackingTransparency prompt, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- Location data — we do not request or use your precise or approximate location.
- Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or other device data — the app does not ask for these permissions.
- Cookies or fingerprinting — the app does not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or similar technologies to identify you.
GlassPockets contains no third-party advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking SDKs of any kind.
Data stored on your device
GlassPockets lets you mark nonprofits as favorites so you can find them again easily. When you do this, the app saves a small record on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData).
- A favorite is stored simply as the nonprofit’s public registry number (and the date you added it). It contains nothing about you personally.
- This favorites list lives only on your device. It is not sent to us, not synced to any server we control, and not shared with any third party.
- You are in full control. You can remove a favorite at any time inside the app, and you can erase all of this data instantly by deleting the app from your device.
Network and data downloads (CDN note)
To show you up-to-date nonprofit information, GlassPockets downloads a public dataset of Israeli nonprofits. This is the only category of network request the app makes, and it works like this:
- The app performs a read-only download (an HTTPS GET request) of a public JSON file hosted on a content delivery network (CDN), specifically Amazon CloudFront.
- This is a one-directional fetch: GlassPockets downloads public charity data. It does not upload, send, or transmit any personal information about you in the process.
As with any request to any web server on the internet, the CDN/hosting provider may automatically keep standard server access logs. Those logs can include technical information such as your device’s IP address, the time of the request, and the file requested. This is a normal part of how the internet delivers files and helps keep services secure and reliable.
To be transparent about this: GlassPockets itself does not receive, read, or use these server logs to identify, profile, or track you. We do not connect them to any individual user, because we hold no information that could link a log entry to a person. The CDN provider’s own handling of access logs is governed by that provider’s policies.
Optional in-app purchases (“Support GlassPockets”)
GlassPockets is free. The app offers one optional, voluntary in-app purchase — a “Support GlassPockets” tip (one-time or monthly) to the studio that makes the app. You never have to buy anything to use GlassPockets.
If you choose to make a Support purchase:
- The transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We never see or receive your credit-card number or payment details.
- From Apple we receive only the limited transaction and entitlement information needed to confirm a purchase (for example, that a purchase occurred). This does not include your name, email, or card details, and we do not use it to identify, profile, or track you.
- A Support purchase is not a charitable donation, is not tax-deductible, and unlocks no features. See our Terms of Use for details.
We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information — because we do not collect any in the first place. There is no data about you for us to monetize, transfer, or disclose to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
No third-party SDKs
GlassPockets is built without third-party software development kits (SDKs) for analytics, advertising, attribution, social media, or tracking. The app does not embed any third-party code that collects information about you.
Children’s privacy
GlassPockets is safe for users of all ages because it does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children, and the app contains no accounts, profiles, social features, or data collection that would gather information about a child. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the app, please note that, by design, there is nothing for us to have received — but you are welcome to contact us with any concern.
Your privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA, and others)
Privacy laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) give people rights over their personal data — for example, the right to access, correct, delete, or port their information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
We respect these rights fully. In GlassPockets’ case, the practical reality is simple: we do not hold any personal data about you, so there is essentially nothing for us to access, export, correct, or delete on our side. The only personal-feeling data the app creates — your favorites list — already lives entirely on your own device and is under your direct control. You can view it, change it, or erase it at any time by editing your favorites or deleting the app.
If you have questions about your rights, you can contact us using the details below.
Third-party links
GlassPockets may link out to a nonprofit’s own website so you can learn more or, if you choose, donate directly on that organization’s site. GlassPockets does not process payments, host donations, or handle any financial transactions itself — any donation happens entirely on the third-party website, outside the app.
Once you follow a link out of GlassPockets, you are on a website we do not control. Those websites have their own privacy policies and terms, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any site you visit.
Please also note that GlassPockets is an independent aggregator of public information. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any listed nonprofit, GuideStar Israel, or the State of Israel or any government body. Our information comes from public Israeli nonprofit-registry sources, including the Registrar of Associations (Rasham HaAmutot) and GuideStar Israel.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, to reflect changes in the app or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page and post the updated version at https://glasspockets.app/privacy. If we ever make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to make it clear. Your continued use of GlassPockets after an update means you accept the revised policy.
